Hajj Pilgrims

Mina tents being prepared to receive Hajj Pilgrims, Mina tents have started preparing with all the equipment to receive the pilgrims this Hajj season.

Mustafa Hadi, the general supervisor of one of the companies in Mina, said they had started preparing camps in Mina, the state news agency reported.

In addition to decoration, the preparation also includes electricity maintenance, plumbing work, painting and plaster work, and the preparation of toilets inside the camps.

He said that in the coming days they will start furnishing the restaurants as well as the tents with beds and blankets and complete all the preparations inside the campus to receive the Hajj pilgrims during the day of Tarwiyah (water supply) and the three days of Tashriq.

Muzdalifah

It is noteworthy that Mina cannot be inhabited except during the Hajj period and is located within the boundaries of the sacred sites between Mecca and Muzdalifah, 7 km from the Holy Mosque.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Hajj flight for Pakistani pilgrims started on May 21 when the first flight of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) departed from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia from Karachi with 328 pilgrims.

Pakistan International Airlines uses Boeing 777 and Airbus 320 for its massive Hajj operation. The operation will transport more than 65,000 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

Director Hajj Karachi, Sajjad Haider, DG Benazir Income Support Programme, Imtiaz Shah and PIA and CAA officials were also present.
